About Kitty van der Kamp

Kitty vd KampIn 1987, Kitty van der Kamp started her career at one of the leading engineering firms in luxury yacht building in the Netherlands: Frits de Voogt/Feadship.

Thereafter, she worked for the design team of Jan de Bouvrie, one of the Netherlands best known interior designers.

Yet her passion for yacht interiors remained, as this allowed her to combine her two strengths: design and technical skills. She joined the design team of Jon Bannenberg Ltd in London and worked here for 3.5 year as a draftsman and designer of both motor and sailing yachts (the sailing yachts in collaboration with Ron Holland).Once back in the Netherlands, Kitty continued her career at Van Lent Scheepsbouw and thereafter worked on interior design at the well-known yacht design agency Pieter Beeldsnijder.

In 1993 she jointed the DIASHIP - design team at Heesen Shipyards, as an independent interior designer. One year later, in 1994, the foundations were laid for her own design agency. Due to the growing market and the success of her own agency Kitty van der Kamp started to design autonomously in 1997.

We are, as Kitty van der Kamp deisgn, a small interior design- and drawing studio for the luxuerius yacht industry. We have had since 1997 many shipyards or owners we worked for in the segment luxury yachts up to a length of 36 meter. As we are specialist in interieur yacht design, is this our main bussiness but sometimes we are asked for their residentional houses aswell.

The project page contains a selection of the projects that Kitty van der Kamp Design has completed successfully over the years
